We have been working on building reagents for Notch3 experiments. Recently, Nahum (the primary Notch3 researcher in the Starita Lab) has been cloning the Notch3 gene into plasmid so that we can put it into cells and see if it gets to the cell surface.
The next step is to see how Notch3 with CADASIL variants behaves differently. He is also working on our computational pipeline so that we can analyze data from our mutational scans faster. He is improving our scrappy, hard-coded scripts and building a flexible automated pipeline using Nextflow.
Turns out Nahum is a pretty decent programmer. Bonus!
